Kumho Sport Saloons is a Motorsport New Zealand sanctioned motor racing series which caters for Saloon or GT road race (or circuit race) cars of moderate modification. Rounds for the series are held at Levels Raceway (Timaru), Ruapuna Park (Christchurch) and Teretonga Park Raceway (Invercargill) in the South Island of New Zealand.
Variety of cars mixed with close and competitive racing have been the ingredients of success for Sport Saloons. A stable rules package ensures the aforementioned and keeps the level of modification within limits but allows a certain amount of ‘Kiwi ingenuity’ to make the cars a bit more interesting (not to mention faster) than production based racing.
